Doris R Davis, 95 of Taylorsville, MS passed away Sunday, June 30, 2024 at her home in Taylorsville, MS. She was born Tuesday, July 3, 1928 in Monroe, Louisiana.

 Graveside services will be held on Saturday, July 06, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Laurel, Mississippi. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Laurel, Mississippi. Rev. Marty Swanner will officiate. Special music will be performed by Jamie Swanner, Marta Lowery, and Janna Doba. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Taylorsville is in charge of arrangements. 601-785-6564

 Mrs. Davis loved going to church and sitting on the porch reading her Bible.

 She was preceded in death by her husband, J.C.  Davis; father, James Reid; mother, Myrtle Tibbs Reid; great- grandchild, Cody Davis; five sisters and one brother

  Survivors include her sons, Keith  Davis  of Taylorsville and Ronnie Davis (Lorri) of Taylorsville; grandchildren, Heath Davis  (Tiffany) of Pascagoula, Clay  Davis  (Alicia) of Pascagoula and Daniel Davis  of Taylorsville;  great- grandchild, Caleb Davis  (Lauren) of Pascagoula; great-great- grandchildren; Legend Davis, Marjie Davis, and Baylor Davis.

Pallbearers will be grandchildren and nephews.
