Donald Gene Fowler, 84, passed away on Wednesday, August 9, 2023, at his residence, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on September 5, 1938, to the late Herman and Wilma Neal Fowler in Amory, MS.
He served his country in the United States Armed Forces.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth Evelyn Whitehead Fowler; daughters, Beth Winstead (Kevin) and Jennifer Turner; grandchildren, Brittney Howell, Matthew Winstead, David Winstead, Austin Crotwell, and Mackenzie Crotwell; great-grandchildren, Carson, Greyson, Luke and Owen and son-in-law, Chris Crotwell.
In addition to his parents, Herman and Wilma Neal Fowler, he was preceded in death by his son, Donnie Fowler; daughter, Bonnie Crotwell; brother, Roger Fowler; sister, Marilyn Fowler OConnell, and grandson, Daniel Howell.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Sunday, August 13, 2023, at Tutor Funeral Home in Mendenhall, MS, from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM. The service will be held on Monday, August 14, 2023, at 10:00 AM with Pastor Pete Carter and Bro.Matthew Pharis officiating. The interment with military rites will follow at Odd Fellows Rest Cemetery in Aberdeen, MS.
Arrangements are entrusted to Tutor Funeral Home of Mendenhall, MS.
