I almost wrote this message last Sunday, but following today’s find, I decided to just put it out there!
What am I talking about? People leaving flyers on cars during church service!
Last Sunday, I left Magee around 9:15 AM taking my granddaughter to meet her daddy in Montgomery. When I came by the church, two young people were putting campaign flyers on cars. I was horrified. There is a time and a place for flyers. But, in my opinion, the time is not during church. I let the flyer deal slide that day.
This morning, December 2, 2018, I came out of church and on my windshield as well as a bunch of other First Baptist folks windshield was a flyer about a “huge yard sale. Really!!! In fact, the sale started Friday and dates were marked out and December 2nd added to the flyers.
I learned from a former city official, that to put flyers on cars one must have a permit. If I was a betting person, I would bet $1,000 those people didn’t have a permit.
I’m just saying, don’t put flyers on my car during church or really anytime…unless you have a permit. Next time I see this happen, I am calling the police.
It’s only a flyer, you probably shouldn’t be so uptight about it. Sounds to me like if you would have mentioned the permit before like you said then this wouldn’t have happened! I hope you went to night church also… bc I don’t think God likes you judging others with your “I bet a thousand dollars they didn’t have a permit”. What makes you believe that? I mean wow a permit is what, 5 bucks? Maybe if you would have done your job by letting people know they need one, they would have had one. If your nose was any higher you’d catch a nosebleed!!!!
