Disciple Now, a weekend of spiritual bonding, was held in Simpson County Friday-Sunday with Mendenhall First Baptist Church serving as the host Church. Students from all over the county gathered to learn more about Christ and what they can do to increase their witness everyday. The Seniors of FBC Magee gave a presentation Saturday night to the local students on how God forgives our sins.
The youth stayed in different homes associated with their personal home church . I was honored to host the 7th grade girls from First Baptist in Magee.
I really didn’t know what I would do with seven girls! I raised boys…I’m getting better at this girl thing! The girls stayed so busy with planned activities that I saw them very little. I was truly a host home…like a hotel…they just came and went.
DNow is a deeply spiritual program. One that leads the students in facing everyday problems. And!!! Teenagers have problems!
I know every student who participated received a blessing. I received a “in the heart” blessing…having teenagers back in my house! I’ve missed the years of slammed doors, wet towels, laughter, and togetherness.
Thank you to the parents for allowing me to experience the spirit of DNow with your child.
