Did you know it was against the law to just throw away the American Flag??

On February 13, 2015, Mr. Buddy with the Magee Woodmen of the World lodge presented the Simpson County Board of Supervisors with a Flag drop off box. This drop off box is located at the Mendenhall Court House. Members of lodge 336 present for the dedication were Mr. Buddy, David Yelverton, and Mrs. Norman.

If you have a flag that is old and tattered bring it by the Mendenhall Court House to be disposed of properly. Rhuel Dickinson and the Mendenhall Boy Scout troops are responsible for emptying the drop off box.

Also, if you are a non-profit organization such as a church, school, or city building and are in need of a new flag, or laws pertaining to the American flag, you can contact Steve Kelly with Woodman of the World at 601-932-0806.
