SCTC Features its Polymer Science Program with New Instructor
Simpson County Technical Center (SCTC) is pleased to feature its Polymer Science program and introduce Dick Wendt as its new program instructor.
Wendt is not a stranger to Simpson County. For 26 years, he taught chemistry and physics at Magee High School, as well as coached soccer, track and cross country. He was sponsor of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and was the recipient of Magee’s Outstanding Citizen Award for 2020, which recognized him for his Christian manner and devotion to students.
Polymer Science is a multidisciplinary field that includes chemistry, physics, mathematics, engineering and biochemistry. Polymers enable many advanced technologies and everyday items we use, including flat screen televisions, lightweight aircraft panels and engines, medical devices, coatings and paints, and more.
