Did you know that we as children of God have to face death at least twice in our lives read today’s devotion and see for yourself.
Our devotion today comes from 1 Thessalonians 4:14-18 – “14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.”
And 2 Timothy 4:7 – “7 I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith”
This verse from 2 Timothy is the key to the rest of the Bible. The ways we die are: 1) surrender our lives to God daily, and 2) buried in the name of Jesus Christ.
A good fight is when we live so close to God that nothing else matters. Finishing our course means to study and read God’s Word every day, and make Heaven out home. Keeping the faith means to keep out minds, hearts, sprits, and souls clan of all the world has to offer. Have a blessed and victorious week. God bless you now and always.
See you at the house! Please let me hear from you this week.
