Our dear husband, grandpa, and friend, Darrell Lynn Koehn was born July 04, 1960 in Deridder, LA to Glenn and Jacquelyn (Authement) Koehn. He was called home on June 09, 2021 reaching the age of 60 years. Darrell was loved by all he met. He spent his life as a firefighter and electrician. Darrell was a doer making many friends by the things he did for them. He loved spending time with his family camping, fishing, golfing, and he was an avid bird watcher. Darrell loved to cook, and prepare food.
On April 27, 1975 Darrell felt the call of God and was baptized into the Church of God in Christ Mennonite by Weldon Koehn.
On September 12, 1991 Darrell was married to me, Melanie Gill, by Minister Jon Doler in Leland Mississippi. Darrell and Melanie soon moved to Greenville Mississippi to begin his work at aqua farms as an election and later other farms doing anything asked of him. Darrell was a hard worker providing for his family well. Two sons were born to our home. Christopher and Shane. Darrell loved his boys and their families.
As health began to fail, life was frustrating to him. Darrell experienced struggles in life and wanted things different. We are comforted by the effort he made to clear his way with others and his Lord. We trust him into the hands of a loving Lord.
Those left to cherish his fond memories are his wife Melanie, two sons: Christopher ( Barbi) Koehn of Greenville, MS and Shane ( Anna) Koehn of Phenix City, AL two grandsons: Kohl Ray and Kyeton Koehn; one granddaughter: Ivy Koehn and one grandchild soon to come. mother: Jacquelyn Koehn Moundridge, Kansas. brothers: Michael (Charlynne) Koehn Magee, MS Stewart ( Karen) Koehn Burns, Ks and sister: Ann Marie ( Keith) Koehn Mountain Grove, Mo.
Darrell is preceded in death by his father Glenn and grandson, Layton Koehn
