CROWNS FOR CAUSE GAINS NON-PROFIT STATUS
Since its launch in 2021, Crowns for a Cause has inspired hundreds of women from across the country to give back to their community. Organization Ambassadors are rewarded with predetermined awards each month based on their collection of needed items. These awards include pins, bracelets, and t-shirts. The award incentives are used as a way to recognize their hard work each month as well as to encourage them to continue giving back.
As of March, 2023, Crowns For A Cause became a 501(c)3 non-profit organization and to date the organization has collected over 80,000 boxes of children’s band aids, over 20,000 pairs of children’s socks, and thousands in cash donations that have directly benefited hospitals in over six states. They have partnered with local businesses in their hometown as well as national brands like Papa Johns and Kendra Scott for incentives and fundraisers.
Crowns For A Cause founder, 24 year old Katelyn Perry from Gulfport Mississippi, states“while service is the main objective for Crowns For a Cause, I enjoy being able to motivate my ambassadors through monthly goals and incentives while also teaching them how to market themselves through social media and partnerships with businesses in their areas. These are skills that will benefit them for a lifetime.
”The newest project for Crowns For A Cause, is the “Making A Difference” instagram series where women across the country are featured in an interview on their own personal projects that are making a difference. Additionally, in April, Crowns For A Cause sponsored the very first “Making A Difference” day where ambassadors as well as their family and friends organized and participated in community service projects in their hometowns.
