The award was recevied during the Supervisors convention that Craft was unable to attend due to sickness.
Craft was awarded a certificate for being a graduate of the MAS Institute for Excellence in County Government. This program to achieve excellence was created in 2019 by the MAS, a voluntary education program for county supervisors. To complete the program, supervisors must complete 10 core courses and 30 elective courses, for a minimum 40 credits (CEUs). Per Randy Moore there are 410 supervisors in the state of MS and only 130 graduated this program. Danny Craft was the only Supervisor from Simpson County to graduate.
