Zyrus Craft, a junior from Mount Olive High School, recently attended the 2021 session of  MS Boys State held May 30- June 5, 2021 on the campus of the University of Mississippi in Oxford, MS.
Sponsored by the American Legion of Mississippi, Boys State is an intense week of non-partisan leadership, government, and patriotism training.
Boys State is also the premier leadership program for rising high school seniors in Mississippi. Delegates are challenged to not just learn about Government, Leadership, and Service; but to put their knowledge into practice.
Along the way, delegates heard from elected state leaders, attended a college fair, and made friendships that will last a lifetime.
While in attendance, Craft was a member of the Federalists Party.
Zyrus thanks his sponor Peoples Bank and the recommendation from American Legion Post 218 of Mt.Olive, Mr. John Graves, Post Commander.
Zyrus is the son of Ms. La Craft-Jones.
