Emily Crace was recently elected to serve on Mississippi State University’s Student Association as Senator at Large.  Senator at Large is a position created by the Student Association to represent the entire student population at MSU and is voted on by students across all colleges and classification—from freshmen to graduate students.  Once candidates are certified, they campaign for two weeks through advertising, social media, and meeting with individuals as well as groups on campus to discuss their platforms.  Elections were held February 2, and newly-elected members will begin serving their terms in March.

At Mississippi State, Emily is also a member of Shackouls Honors College, the Mississippi Excellence in Teaching Program, and the Phi Delta chapter of Chi Omega.  In addition to her position as Senator at Large, she has also been selected to serve as an Ambassador for the College of Education, a member of MSU’s Freshman Forum, a Maroon VIP Tour Guide, and a counselor for incoming freshmen at the upcoming New Maroon Camp.

Emily is the daughter of Nathan and Michelle Crace of Magee and a 2015 graduate of Simpson County Academy.
