County Forestry Association Meeting set for February 28th
The Simpson County Forestry Association will be holding a general meeting on the Tuesday evening of February 28th at 6:30 in the Junior Livestock barn on Hwy 49. The program is open to any current member as well as anyone else with an interest to join the association. Membership dues for the year are currently $10 and can be paid at this meeting. This will be a potluck meal along with fried and baked chicken, so attendees are encouraged to bring a side dish. Speakers will include Dave Godwin, landowner coordinator for the Mississippi Forestry Association as well as International Paper representatives from the Bogalusa, LA office. We encourage anyone with an interest in forestry to attend the meeting and joining our local association. If you indeed plan to attend, please make sure to RSVP to the Simpson County Extension office at 601-847-1335 by noon, February 27th.
