Retired from the Marine Corps after 30 years of service, Col. Burton is a native of Belmont. MS and a 1993 graduate of Mississippi State University.Burton was an F/A-18 pilot, Top Gun graduate, test pilot, and two-time commander wit five combat deployments.

Colonel Burton spoke on the need of banding together as conservatives.  “Mississippi for America First,” a non profit organization founded by Colonel Burton, promotes  holding elected leaders accountable and holding our government accountable to SERVE not rule our follow citizens.

A large group of Republicans, women and men, attended the event.

The Republican Women of Simpson County meet on the first Thursday of each month at 11 o’clock at the 911 center. The public is invited.

Yearly dues are $35 and $20 for male associate members.
