College Savings Mississippi Awards Two MACS Scholarships at 2015 Egg Bowl

College Savings Mississippi, a program through State Treasurer Lynn Fitch’s Office offering two college savings plans, awarded two students a $1,529 Mississippi Affordable College Savings Program (MACS) Scholarship at the 2015 Egg Bowl Game in Starkville, Mississippi on November 28. Davis Hesler, a 21 year old student from Mississippi State University, and Madison Warman, a 19 year old student from the University of Mississippi, were chosen to be contestants at the halftime Tuition Toss sponsored by College Savings Mississippi.

As the official halftime sponsor of the Egg Bowl, College Savings Mississippi hosted a Tuition Toss on the field during halftime, where the two students competed to throw 30 footballs into a target in 30 seconds. The student who threw the most footballs into the target was to win a $1,529 Mississippi Affordable College Savings Program (MACS) Scholarship, while the Runner-Up was to receive a $529 MACS Scholarship.

Hesler and Warman each made seven footballs into the target in 30 seconds ending the competition in a tie. Treasurer Lynn Fitch awarded each student a $1,529 MACS Scholarship after each student made an equal amount of footballs into the target.
