Co-Lin Simpson Branch celebrated “big” Wednesday, October 25th! Dual enrolled Junior and Seniors from Magee High School, Mendenhalll High School, Simpson Academy, home school students, and Co-Lin students attended the day of fun, food and fellowship! (Dual enrolled are students who are taking Co-Lin classes while a student at their area high school)
Renew 96.9 had the music pumping! The weather was beautiful…the food was great…friendships were made…and games were played! The Tailgate presented the opportunity to showcase the college on the hill in Simpson County…Co-Lin. Dr. Dwayne Middleton, Vice President of the Simpson Campus, and Dr. Ronnie Neetles, President of Copiah Lincoln Community College, were on hand to greet and meet! Dr. Middleton and his staff put on quite a show! PrioirtyOne Bank, Peoples Bank, and Trustmark National Band set up tents and supplied the students with a bunch of good “freebies.”
The Co-Lin Simpson Branch homecoming maids were introduced to the crowd. Co-Lin’s homecoming is Saturday, October 28th in Wesson beginning at 2:30 PM at Stone Stadium.
Members of Copiah-Lincoln Community College’s 2017 homecoming court from the Simpson County Center are sophomore maids Scout Algee and LaDeyshea Lee; freshmen maids Katherin Crowe and Jasha Sandifer. The presentation of the Homecoming Court and the crowing of the 2017 Homecoming Queen will take place at 2:30 p.m. prior to kick off of the Co-Lin vs. Pearl River game, on Saturday, Oct. 28, in H.L. Stone Stadium on the Wesson Campus. The maids were elected by the student body in elections sponsored by the Student Government Association.
