WESSON, Mississippi – Copiah-Lincoln Community College has released a customized version of Emsi Career Coach, a web-based tool which uses comprehensive labor market data to help students match their interests to specific occupations and identifies available academic programs to achieve their career goals.

In addition to compiling rich, workforce data such as occupational growth and wage information, Co-Lin’s Career Coach includes an assessment based on personality and strengths to help users explore a variety of careers.

“Career Coach is a valuable career guidance tool that will assist individuals in narrowing down a career field through an interest inventory that provides important information such as local wage and labor market data that will help in the decision-making process,” said Co-Lin Associate Vice President of Instructional Services Jackie Martin. “It is vital that we match local students in careers that are needed in our local job market. We want our talented students to know that they can find a great career and still live in Mississippi. Career Coach allows them to explore various career pathways based on results of their from personal interest inventory.”
