The newly elected Board of Aldermen for the City of Magee and Mayor will take the oath of office on Thursday, July 1, 2021 at 5:00 PM. The public is invited to the event at the Magee Civic Center.
Mayor Berry, who ran unopposed, is serving his second term as mayor.
New comer to the Board is Mark Grubbs who represents Ward 1. Whitney Baker who held the position for the past four years did not seek re-election.
Matthew Hickman was re-elected as Alderman for Ward 2. Matthew is serving his second term as a board member.
Lane Steele represents Ward 3 and has been the Ward 3 Alderman for many years.
Long time Alderman Ward 4 Patrick Brown was re-elected to his position.
The other new comer to the Board is Sue Honea. Sue was elected to serve as Alderman at Large. Angel Brister held the position of Alderman at Large for the last 4 years but chose not to run again.
The Honorable Tommy Joe Harvey will perform the swearing in ceremony.

The first official board meeting for the new Board and Mayor is July 6, 2021. The alderman will be in attendance from 6-6:30 to discuss citizen questions. The board meeting begins at 6:30 and will be live streamed on MageeNews.com Facebook page.
