Following weeks of budget meetings, the City of Magee Board of Aldermen completed the 2024 budget. The new budget goes into effect October 1, 2023.
Highlights of the 2024 Budget:
- $1,000,000 Paving project
- Across the board raise to all employees of approximately 6%
- Water Department:
Purchasing of truck (Limb or garbage) to be financed with 4 equal payments of $50,000
- Parks and Rec: City Park upgrade and new employee
- Airport Roofing project. $12,000
- Fire Department: $70,000 (which includes an additional $30,000 for Code Enforcement/Property Cleanup
- Christmas Decorations: $10,000
