According to animal control office Benny Blair, the dog pound is closed until relocation of the pound due to parvo. Benny spoke with area veterans who advised there is no real way to get rid of the contagious disease.
Mayor Berry explained, ” I thinks there is another city building that could be used for a dog pound.” The Mayor and Benny are working on the project.
Benny stated that attack dogs will still be picked up and tickets will be written for any laws broken concerning animal control.
