The Christmas decorations for the City of Magee are on their way to becoming a reality!

The Keep Magee Beautiful organization has been working behind the scene for weeks!  For the first time in several years, we have some new decorations thanks to the Magee Board of Aldermen.  The board voted to set aside funds for decorations.

“I had no idea how expensive commercial decorations were,” exclaimed Dot Nichols member of Keep Magee Beautiful.  “We will be building every year to make Magee shine,” stated Nichols.

Lee Maddox, another KMB committee member, led the charge Wednesday as decorations were unloaded and reassembled in the Community House.

“Our plans are to focus on white lights and red bows,” explained Maddox.  “We are decorating the three balconies on Main Street in keeping with the white lights and red bows theme,” said Lee.

Dot Nichols expressed her appreciation to all the citizens who have pitched in by donating trees and working to put up decorations.

“This has been a team effort.  We appreciate the city donating money for new decorations.”

Christian Carrico is president of Keep Magee Beautiful.
