I, Chris Lane, announce my decision to run for Alderman Ward 1. I prayerful ask for your vote in the June 6, 2017 election. I have chosen to run as an Independent.
- Married 24 years to late wife Dolly Lane
- 2 children and 3 grandchildren
- Resident of Magee for 20 years
- Member of Eastside Baptist Church
- New Hebron attendance Center
- Co-Lin Jr. College (Blueprint Reading)
- Employed for the last 35 years in the Oil Field, last 20 of which I was involved in multi-million dollar decision-making process for the companies who retained by services in this particular sector.
- I have contributed to the economic development and growth of Magee consistently over the past 20 years. I was involved in the Contracting and building of the first successful female owned assisted-living home in the city owned and operated by my late wife, Dolly Lane. I have numerous rental properties and have recently constructed a new subdivision within the city limits of Mages contributing constantly to the tax based for the town of Magee. I AM FULLY VESTED N THE TOWN OF MAGEE!
What to expect from me as Alderman
- To progressively grow the town of Magee through wise decision making, collaboration with other alderman, as well as the mayor.
- Will voice the concerns of my constituents without fear of retribution of retaliation….”No spin on words” mentality.
- Willingly listen to and learn from their constructive criticism.
- Eliminate the “picking and choosing” system, which in the past only benefited a chosen few.
- Vote to provide equitable services for all taxpayers.
