I, Mitchell Chatman, with much prayer and consideration am excited to announce my candidacy for District One Supervisor along with careful thought. I would love to have your support and vote on my endeavor to become the next Supervisor for District One. By announcing my bid, I have a desire to serve and inspire the citizens of Simpson County.
I am 54 years old and married to Phyllis Smith Chatman. We have three children; Kami (Joe), Mitch and Chris. We have two grandchildren Joel, and Kamrin. I am a graduate of Magee High School and after graduation I attended Jackson State University. I have many years of experience as a supervisor where I worked as Exide battery. Later, I worked at Willmut Gas (Sempra) as a service technician in the Magee and Mendenhall areas. My most important work has been the work of God. My ministry is worldwide, but I service God’s people in Raleigh, Ms. As the pastor of Mt. Pisgah MB Church. While having these positions I have met many citizens that I am grateful I could help. My desire as supervisor is to be able to continue to help and serve the community. Together we can make a difference for he entire county.
The position of county Supervisor is more than managing a road maintenance program. It is a position that determines budgets, tax dollars, and promotes economic growth for all of Simpson County.
If elected I will be open for any comments and all suggestions. I am willing and ready to serve with character and integrity. The Board of Supervisors should always reflect the will of the people of Simpson County. These decisions made by your county officials affect you and your children.
I look forward to seeing all my friends and making new friends. Vote G Mitchell Chatman August 6, 2019. Together we can!! Thanking you in advance.
