Charles D. “Buck” White, 80 of Taylorsville, Mississippi passed away from his earthly home to his heavenly home on Thursday, March 03, 2022, at the Beacham Memorial in Magnolia, Mississippi. He was born Tuesday, October 14, 1941, in Taylorsville, Mississippi.
Visitation will be held on Monday, March 07, 2022, from 12:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Taylorsville, Mississippi.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 07, 2022, at 2:30 p.m. at the First Baptist Church. The burial will follow in Fellowship Cemetery in Taylorsville, Mississippi. Dr. Frankie Clark will officiate. Special music will be provided by Mrs. Mary Barron Jordan, Mrs. Mary Lou Robertson, Mrs. Lisa Shelby, and Miss. Michaela Gilpin. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Taylorsville is in charge of arrangements. 601-785-6564
Mr. Charles was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Taylorsville, Mississippi. He loved to serve the church in whatever role was needed. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. He served our country in the United States Air Force for twenty-three years. He was active in serving as a volunteer with the American Red Cross. He enjoyed traveling, wood working, fishing and hunting, and most of all spending time with his grandkids. He will be greatly missed by all of his loving family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Judy Smith White; father, Charles W. White; mother, Nina Rea Kilgore White.
Survivors include his two sons, Dennis M. White of Palatine, IL and Jeffrey W. White of Elysian Fields, TX; four grandchildren, Chandler White of Palatine, IL, Emma White of Inverness, IL, Kaitlyn White of Elysian Fields, TX, and Evan White of Elysian Fields, TX; two brothers, Joe Raymond White (Bobbie) and Thomas Rudolph White both of Taylorsville, MS; one sister, Virginia White Hester of Pearl, MS; and a host of other family members and friends.
Pallbearers will be Chandler White, Wayne Gilpin, Claude Dowden, Harry Cassell, Joe Flynt, and Joe Parker. Honorary pallbearers will be Evan White, Kenneth Odell, and The Fellowship Class of the First Baptist Church.
