Simpson Academy Senior Cooper Carrico was named the 2021 Youth of the Year for the organization Keep Mississippi Beautiful. The award was presented at the 2021 Great American Cleanup State Kickoff and Awards Presentation on Thursday, April 8, 2021 at the State Capitol.

Carrico has served on the organization’s national Youth Advisory Council and been very involved with Keep Magee Beautiful as well.
