Career & Tech Center Career Fair

The Simpson County Technical Center hosted a career fair Wednesday, November 6, 2019.

The halls and rooms were filled with college and technical representatives.  The health science students conducted a health fair for students and visitors.

The Simpson County Technical Center provides Career and Technical Education that prepares students for a wide range of careers requiring varying levels of education.

The Technical Center is open to public and private school students as well as home schooled students.

CTE students have a 90.18% graduation rate nationally as compared to a 74.9% rate for students following a traditional academic pathway.

Programs are available for students in grade 9 and up,

Programs of Study:  Agriculture and Natural Resources

Business Marketing and Finance

Construction/Carpentry

Diesel Service Technology

Health Informatics

Health Sciences

Law and Public Safety

Metal Fabrications

Polymer Science

Career Pathway Experiences is available for students in grades 11 & 12 only

Billy Lofton prepared lunch for guest and teachers.

Administrator Dr. Bo Huffman gave an overview of the activities and achievements at the Career and Technical Center.
