“The use of propane/gas grills, or outdoor propane/gas heaters, is not affected by the statewide burn ban. They should be used as described by their manufacturer’s instructions, should be located safely away from combustible materials and should never be left unattended.
Additionally, the use of charcoal grills is not affected by the statewide burn ban. HOWEVER, the coals and embers generated by a charcoal grill are of great concern. Before removing or dumping the ashes of your charcoal grill, please completely extinguish any hot embers with water. The ashes should be cold to the touch before disposal. We have responded to wildfires that were started by improperly disposing charcoal grill ashes.
All other outdoor burning activities, including campfires, bonfires, fire pits, fire rings, burn barrels, debris burning, field burning, etc…, are strictly prohibited.”
