Following the Sunday morning worship service at First Baptist Church of Magee, Pastor Dr. Buddy Keyes announced his retirement and gave two weeks’ notice that he would no longer be the pastor of FBC.
As I sat and listed to Brother Buddy announce his plans, tears filled my eyes. Here was a man who had walked through many trials in my life…a man who had been present for many happy times…I soon realized who I was thinking about was me!!! Brother Buddy is ready to make a change. Whatever walk he chooses in life, the walk will be a Godly man. He is a Godly man…a man who has poured his heart and soul into the membership of First Baptist Church.
Thank you, Brother Buddy. Thank you for being the man you are…thank you for your daily walk with God…thank you for being my friend.
Wow, change is tough…I wasn’t looking for this change. But, I am happy for Brother Buddy and Jackie.
I love my pastor. I look forward to supporting him with whatever he chooses in the future.
