Bridge CLOSURES on State Route 149 in Simpson County
WHO: Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT).
WHAT: Bridge CLOSURES.
WHEN: Beginning Thursday, March 16, the bridge closures are expected to remain in place until summer 2024.
WHERE: Both directions of State Route 149 over the Sellers Creek Bridge (Bridge No. 128.6), the Dabbs Creek Bridge (Bridge No. 131.7) and the Dabbs Creek Relief Box Bridge in Simpson County. The Dabbs Creek bridges on SR 149 will be closed to thru traffic in both directions between Sawmill Road and Charlie Newsome Road.
WHY: Three bridges will be CLOSED for a bridge replacement project.
Drivers will need to take an alternate route.
Motorists are reminded to be on high alert for roadside workers.
