Bobo serves as the lone representative on the South Region team from the Gulf South Conference, and marks the first selection to the team in Mississippi College men’s soccer program history. Bobo was one of only two players on the team with a grade point average of 4.0.
Bobo saw action in all 16 games for the Choctaws this season, while helping lead the Choctaws to a GSC regular-season title in their first season full season of competition in the conference. The senior midfielder, who also served as team captain, registered two assists for MC on the year.
Bobo, a Biology Medical Sciences Major, has posted an overall grade point average of 4.0 during his time at MC. This semester, Bobo was accepted into the medical school program at University Medical Center in Jackson, Miss.
Bobo was selected to the 2016 CoSIDA Academic All-District Team for District 5 on Oct. 27, and was later named to the CoSIDA Academic All-America Second Team on Nov. 21 for his efforts both on the field and in the classroom.
