Bobby Joe Miller Sr. passed away on Friday, June 19, 2026, at his residence. He was born on September 11, 1958, to James Lamar Miller Sr. and Mary Katherine Powell Miller in Jackson, MS.
He was a loving brother, father, grandfather, and friend to many. Those who knew him and had shared a lifetime friendship will dearly miss him.
Bobby Joe is survived by his son, Bobby Joe Miller Jr. (Alicia); Jennifer Miller; brother, Jimmy Miller (Fredie); sisters, Vicki Jones (Joe) and Tammy Pearce (Joe); and four grandchildren, Blake Miller, Mackenzie Carlisle, Braylie Kate Miller, and Remington Miller.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Debra Ann Myers Miller, brother Jackie Miller and sister, Wanda Miller Wright.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 22, 2026, at Tutor Funeral Home in Magee, MS, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. A graveside service will be at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, June 23, at Southern Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Magee. Bro. Will McNeese will officiate the service.
Pallbearers will be Blake Miller, Taegan Weathersby, Gavin Weathersby, Dakota Patrick, and Lee Mitchell, with honorary pallbearer Chris Jones.
