During Monday’s, January 7, 2019 Board of Supervisors meeting, the board held a discussion regarding the taxes past due by some business within the county. The delinquent taxes were also discussed in the December 14, 2018 meeting. (A video of both meetings is attached below).
Tax Assessor Charles Baldwin brought to the attention of the board that several business were delinquent with their business property taxes. The board agreed to take actions against the business. The business are at least two years behind. Tax levies have been filed and liens are being filed. The sheriff’s office will assist in issuing warrants for the removal of the equipment.
