Simpson County Board of Supervisor Meeting.
The board met on August 14, 2015 at 9:00 am.
J M Hooker, Road Manager, gave his report. He stated dirt roads needed to be worked now while it was dry. He also received approval to patch and repair needed areas of the roads in the county.
Glenn Jennings, Emergency Management Coordinator, asked that the burn ban that is up on the 24th to be extended 30 more days or until we received needed rain. The board approved to extend band 30 more days.
Sheriff Kenneth Lewis had no business to report at this time.

Rhuel Dickinson, County Administrator, gave the following authorizations:
1. Adopt an Order to approve the Claims Docket of August 14, 2015, in the amount of $419,989.93 and the electronic payment claim for VISA in the amount of $o
2. Authorize the July 2015 Completed Claims Docket to made a part of the minutes and for the Board President to sign.
3. Approve the Financial Reports and Solid Waster Reports for the month of July 2015, as presented by the County Administrator
4. Approval of risk Assessment Letter for State Auditor.
5. Appoint Rhuel Dickinson, County Administrator, and Larry Walker , President of the Board of Supervisors as audit representatives for the fiscal year ended September 30, 2014.
6. Approval Letter to the State Auditor electing not to prepare a Management Discussion and Analysis for the fiscal year ended September 30, 2014.
7. Approve giving permission to Southern Pine Electric Power Association to cut trees on or near church property that might fall in the road near power lines at 160 Mt. Moriah Church Road as requested by Tommy Hubbard, Deacon of Mt. Moriah Church.
8. Approve modifications necessary to establish a computer room in the Chancery Building basement to provide adequate security, protection and consolidation of Simpson County Computer facilities. Estimates of $4,905 for a 3 ton mini-split a/c unit, $4.023.60 for electrical wiring, a new door with key-pad lock, and a raised panel floor (estimate not yet available.)
9. Approve applicable travel, registration, lodging and mileage expensed for:
a. E911 addressing officer, Tina Everett, to attend the Alabama NENA Gulf Coast 911 Conference October 11-14, in Orange Beach, Alabama.
10. Acknowledge and Record in the Board Minutes:
a. D’Lo Water Park Daily Recap report for July 2015.
b. AMR Ambulance Response Compliance Reports for June and July 2015.
c. 2015 US District Court Order approving the Simpson County Joint State County Work Center , Gales v Bryant No. 4:71CV6-DAS.
d. Approval of FY 2016 Simpson County Bridge Inspection BR-NBIS(083)
B, BRIS-64(83) and Notice to Proceed.
All County Administrator reports were approved.
Charles Baldwin did discuss suggestions and consideration for security measures within the tax assessor’s office like glass windows to separate customers from employees.
There was no other business at this time, and motion was made for recess.
