The regularly scheduled City of Magee Board of Aldermen was called to order by Mayor Dale Berry.  Tyler Cheramie led in prayer followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.  All Aldermen and Mayor were in attendance .

The agenda, claims docket, and minutes were approved.

The Mayor reminded the aldermen that all work orders must go through his office.  Aldermen are not to call any department heads.  Aldermen are to complete work order forms and turn in the form to the Mayor.

Zoning Board Chairman Jim Ball presented a report concerning variances, expanding the definitions of boarding house, rooming house, and, inns (bed and breakfast, and  amendments to the cannabis medical establishments.  Anthony Koehn and Ben Harper were granted variances.  Zoning Director PennyAguirre was not in attendance.  Penny was representing the City of Magee at the 2023 MAPDD Conference.

Airport Director Ashley Steele has implemented an airport lost key policy.  The Magee Municipal Airport provides locks for the hanger leases.  The provided locks have two keys—-one of which shall remain in the procession of the Airport Manager, and the other shall be provided to the Lessee.

Building Inspector Phillip Magee reported the Fire Marshal Office and his office have been weighing the pros and cons of the 2018, 2021, and 2024 Codes.

City Superintendent Tim Bray reported 28 tons of hot asphalt mix has been distributed in pot holes in Magee.  Pot hole patrol will continue.

The Mayor announced a Work Shop for the Aldermen Tuesday at 5 PM to continue discussion of the cannabis issues.

With no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
