“Ride the Block” is back!!! Friday, March 2nd, it will be legal in Magee, MS to ride the block.

Now, really, it isn’t illegal to ride the block now…but once upon a time it was. Following years of young people ridding the block in Magee, the activity was banned! Yes, banned!

Several years ago a block reunion was held and the fun was on! People found old cars and trucks…shinned them up…and started ridding.

If you miss the block days, they are back. The first Friday night of the month will be designated as “Ride the Block.” The town fellowship will begin around 5. (No one told me a stopping time!)

Three food vendors will be set up on “thug” hill (next to the Magee Community Center). Let’s all meet and greet and enjoy small town living!

It’s great to live in Magee, MS…and it’s great to “Ride the Block.”
