Bily Wayne Hankins, former head coach and head master at Simpson Academy and presently Head Coach at Copiah Academy, was inducted into the MAISCA Hall of Fame.  Six men were inducted Saturday, August 6, 2022.

Billy Wayne is the son of Donna and the late Billy Ray Hankins and sister to Jackie Moody all of Magee.  Billy Wayne is is married to Heather Mckie Hankins and father to Josh Hankins (Brittany) and step father to Ryan Grubbs, Bryson, Keely and Miller Davis.  Billy Wayne is a proud grandfather of one, Ellie

A Simpson Academy graduate, Billy Wayne enrolled at USM where he graduated in 1989.  He later earned a master’s degree in administration.

Coach Hankins begins his coaching career in 1989 at North Delta School.  In 1991, Billy Wayne moved to Madison Ridgeland Academy.1992 brought Coach Hankins back to SCA where he coached and served as head master for many years.

In 2020, Hankins became head football coach at Copiah Academy where he remains.

Numerous friends and family were on hand for the induction.  Several of Coach Hankins former and present football players attended.

Congratulations to Coach Billy Wayne Hankins.
