Mr. Parker was a member of Clear Creek Baptist Church, where he grew up and had many special memories of days past. He was a loving husband, son, brother, and friend. He enjoyed fishing, cooking outdoors, visiting with his friends, and auctions. He loved his animals. He was a member of the Hiram Lodge #349 and Shriner. It pleased Billy that most of his Shrine duties went to help crippled children. Billy had a soft spot in his heart for children and animals. One of Billy’s passions was taking goody bags to the children at church on the days he was able to go. Billy’s dog Susie was rescued from Clear Creek Baptist Church. He always talked about his Granny Wilson instilling in him the importance of taking care of animals in need. Due to so many medical challenges. Billy had not been able to go back to church and he really missed that. He will be greatly missed by his loving wife, family, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, JC Parker and Mildred Wilson Parker; and three brothers, Joe Parker, Johnny Ray Parker (Janis), and Basil Parker; brother-in-law, Don Lindsey.
Survivors include his loving wife of twenty years, Carolyn Lindsey Parker of Soso; one sister, Brenda Parker Brown (Truett) of Taylorsville; sisters-in-law, Annie Rose Parker of Taylorsville, Laura Lee Parker of Bay Springs, Debbie Dixon (Randy) of Hernando, Tammy Mahroos of Port St. Lucie, FL, and Peggy Wedgeworth (Phillip) of Laurel; brother-in-law, Terry Lindsey of Laurel; a host of other family members and friends.
