Billy Harold Wallace of Mize passed away to his heavenly home on Tuesday, May 12, 2020, surrounded by his family. He was born September 2, 1951, in Taylorsville, Mississippi.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 15, 2020, at Calvary Presbyterian Church in Mize. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Calvary Presbyterian Church. Reverend Joey McLeod will officiate. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Magee is in charge of arrangements. (601) 849-5031. Due to Covid-19, only 10 people are allowed in the church at one given time.
Billy was a member and an elder of Calvary Presbyterian Church. His love for the Lord, his wife, children, grandchildren, family and friends was evident.
Billy took pride in his lifetime career of keeping the lights on as a lineman and retired from Entergy Corporation. While working at Entergy his team completed in the International Lineman competition and finished among the best in the world.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Billie & Nell Crosby Wallace.
Survivors include his wife Rebecca (Becky) of Mize; two daughters, Christy Kennedy (Mike) of Mize and Jennifer Wallace of Savannah, GA; four grandchildren, Abigail Kennedy, Weston Kennedy, Borden Sasnett, and Emma Lofton; one brother, Ted Wallace (Janice); two sisters-in-law, Jan Cole (Charles) and Brenda Adcox (Charlie) ; one brother-in-law, Michael Sullivan (Melinda); and a host of nieces and nephews.
He greeted everyone he met with a smile and will be greatly missed.
