Betty Sue King Benton passed from this life on July 7, 2016. She was born March 18, 1930, to Bert and Irene King. She is preceded in death by the love of her life of 63 years, Billy Earl Benton, her father and mother Bert and Irene King, father and mother-in-law Willie Albert and Vera Benton, brother Joseph Bert King, sisters Eloise King, Lavenee King, Irma Lee Tanner, Kathleen Allen, and Sybil White, brothers-in-law Barney Tanner, Quinn Allen, Eugene Polk, Durwood White, and Bobby T. Benton, and niece Melissa Murphy. Mother lived with her sister Ival, spending the last several years taking care of Mount Olive and ensuring traffic moved smoothly and uninterrupted from their seats on the front lawn. She truly loved her sisters and the many nieces and nephews, all of her friends from Jackson, Madison, and Mount Olive. She was known as Meme or BB to all the little ones. Knowing mom is now with God and her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in her eternal home brings joy and comfort to all those who knew her. To have known mom, is to love her for she was a friend for life.
She is survived by her oldest son Bobby Earl Benton (Millie), Michael Wes Benton (Ellen), Rebecca Lyn Benton (Jose), grandchildren Carly, Alexandria, Justin, Victoria, Caroline and great grandchild Krista, sisters Ival Murphy and Edith Polk, and sister-in-law Yvonne Benton and her numerous nieces and nephews.
