By James Davis
The Scriptural passage for today is found in Deuteronomy 31:6: “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you.” In the Old Testament, the people of God constantly faced fear of invasion, enslavement, and possible death from their enemies; yet, God, through His prophets, felt it necessary to provide His people with constant assurance that He was always with them and would never forsake them. We Christians of today are given the same comforting assurance that we are never alone in both our good and bad times. Let us give constant praise to God for His love, grace, and protection. Amen!
