This week has proved to be interesting for Magee Elementary. Bats were discovered in the elementary cafeteria Wednesday. Jeffrey Walker, Simpson County School Maintence Director, came to the school and captured several bats. According to county officials someone is coming to do a complete sweep of the cafeteria. The cafeteria will remain closed until Tuesday. (children are out of school Monday for Martin Luther King Day).
The children ate breakfast Tuesday at the high school cafeteria. Lunches were prepared by the Magee Middle School and high school cafeteria and taken to the elementary school where children were fed in their classrooms.
I bet the teachers are about “battie.”
