On November 27, 2024, at approximately 6:53 PM, a Magee Police officer conducted a traffic stop on Hwy 49 near the Budget Inn Motel for an expired tag and careless driving. During the stop, the driver, identified as Arsenion D. Autry, was found to be in possession of an open container inside the vehicle. The officer determined that Autry was also under the influence of some sort.

Autry was subsequently placed under arrest and charged with DUI 1st Offense, Open Container, Careless Driving, and Expired Tag.

During this joyful holiday, as we all enjoy time with our families, our officers will remain committed to keeping Magee’s roadways safe. Let this serve as a reminder to always follow traffic laws and avoid driving under the influence. It’s not a mistake, it’s a choice !

All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
