Arlin R Cook, 89 of D’IBERVILLE, MS passed away Thursday, February 17, 2022 at the Memorial Hospital in Gulfport, MS. He was born Sunday, September 18, 1932 in Magee, Mississippi.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 20, 2022 from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in 302 8th Ave SW, Magee, Mississippi. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, February 20, 2022 at 2:00 P.M. at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Magee, Mississippi. Burial will follow in Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery in Magee, MS. Mr. Cook retired from the Civil Service after 35 year. He served in the U.S. Army Airborne as a U.S. Paratrooper. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He loved to work in his yard and garden. Mr. Cook was an avid fisherman and outdoorsmen.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Cynthia (CJ) Spears; father, Henry Cook; mother, Katie McNair Cook; 12 brothers and sisters.
Survivors include his wife, Frankie Jean Scarborough Cook of Diberville, MS; sons, James Ray Cook of Diberville, MS, and Arlin Denson Cook of Ocean Springs, MS; daughter, Glenda Blue of Diberville, MS; grandchildren, Bobby Blue of Diberville, MS, Katie Gudmundson (Michael ) of CA and Casey Cook of McComb, MS and Olivia Cook of McComb, MS; brother, Shorty Cook of Vancleave, MS; great grandchildren, Jonathan (JJ) Gudmundson of CA and Addison (Addy) Gudmundson of CA.
