The Christmas season is underway! Parades have began and St. Nick has made an appearance.

Magee Chamber of Commerce held their annual Christmas Parade Thursday, December 1, 2022.

Several bands performed, many floats were decorated and an abundance of emergency personnel vehicles participated. The Magee Chamber of Commerce pulled off another great and successful Christmas parade. The theme for this year was a Home Town Christmas. Mrs. Edith Polk served as the Grand Marshall.

The parade lasted approximately 1 hour with more than 75 entries. Parade goers and children lined the streets to watch. There was a small hiccup during the middle of the parade due to a train blocking the parade route for several minutes. As soon as the train passed through town the parade was quickly rolling again and back in action.

Chamber members and volunteers reported to work early placing vehicles, lining floating and directing traffic to make sure the parade would be successful.

First place went to the Simpson County Sheriff’s Office with a lovely float displaying the County Courthouse.
