Asbestos is off the structure and according to Deputy Fire Marshal Shane Steele, demolition of the building has begun!

The old block building located on Highway 541 just before the Millcreek bridge will soon be gone!  The building is probably one of the older ones in Magee…but has been an eye sore for years.  Someone told me the building was originally a bottling company!  Comment on this article if you can remember other things the building was used for!

The City is working to cleanup the entrances and exits to the city.

If you know of property that needs to be removed, contact City Hall or email me the address of the building.

Thanks to owner Michael Kennedy for helping in keeping our city beautiful!
