Prayers for the family, coworkers, and friends of Angie Blackwell.  Angie passed away at 11:30pm on Friday, December 8th.

Angie was a dedicated and lovable employee and friend of Magee General Hospital.  Angie’s contagious laughter and smile was found daily in the Laboratory Department of Magee General where she touched many lives over her just shy of 10 years of service.  Her dedication to her job and patients were very evident as she strolled the halls of MGH smiling and sometimes even humming a song.

MGH Lab Director, Tanya Magee, stated “Angie was one of a kind.  She loved everyone from her family, her coworkers, to her patients.  Angie was everyone’s friend.  She will be greatly missed.”

On a personal note, as I delivered her daily department supplies I would throw in a little joke or two.  Angie would just start laughing before the tale was told and say, “Jason, you a mess”, as she kept going on her mission.

Angie leaves behind a loving family as well as her coworkers and many dear friends.

Magee General Hospital, as well as the community, has lost a dear person and friend in Angie Blackwell.
