Commissioner of Agriculture and Commerce Andy Gipson continues to host the Genuine MS Podcast with weekly episodes featuring Genuine MS entrepreneurs and their products. The podcast has been an ongoing effort throughout the summer to promote the state branding program, Genuine MS.

In the eighth episode, Leaders in the Field, Commissioner Gipson highlights a few Genuine MS Made members. Brent Brasher of Kengro Corporation in Charleston, Matthew Summers of Speedbox in Ridgeland, and Dennis Short of Shortline Manufacturing in Shaw discussed their journeys in their respective industries.

“In this episode, I spoke with some people who have truly defined innovation,” Commissioner Gipson mentioned. “Innovation is something that will always be critical for keeping up with a fast-changing world. Mississippi’s economy depends on it. I encourage everyone to tune it and listen to learn how innovative these Genuine MS members are.”

Listeners can hear this episode and previous ones by visiting the Genuine MS website (GenuineMS.com/podcast) or tuning in on Stitcher, Spotify, or SoundCloud.

Genuine MS was developed by the Mississippi Department of Agriculture and Commerce to identify and promote products proudly created or produced by Mississippi farmers, artisans, entrepreneurs, and manufacturers. The purpose of the Genuine MS program is to increase public awareness of Mississippi’s farm, food, crafted, and fabricated products by branding them as Genuine MS.
