PRESS RELEASE

April 24th, 2020

On Thursday, April 23rd, 2020 at around 11:00pm Magee Police Department received a call reporting shots fired on Johnson Lockhart Drive.  While officers were en route to the area of the shots fired call, Magee General ER called the police department and reported that they had two gunshot victims come into the emergency room.  The two victims at the hospital had been the ones shot on Johnson Lockhart Drive.  Both victims had been in the same vehicle and the driver was able to drive them to the hospital for treatment.

The two victims were both alert and responsive at the hospital so officers on scene were able to speak with them about the shooting.  While speaking with the victims, the shooter was positively identified as Jordan Jamal Brinson (pictured).  A warrant was issued immediately for two counts of Aggravated Assault and Brinson was place on NCIC as a wanted person.  Magee Police Department is coordinating with other local agencies to locate Brinson at this time.

It should be noted that Brinson was also arrested in November of 2019 by the Magee Police Department for two counts of Aggravated Assault and one count of Grand Larceny of a Motor Vehicle.  Brinson was set a total bond of $150,000.00.  For this case, Brinson was indicted by a Grand Jury in March of this year.
