Since the murder of Willie G. Davis, Jr., the Simpson County Sheriff’s Office has enlisted the assistance of the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force Jackson Office and Hattiesburg along with the Gulf Coast regional office to help seek out and capture those accused of this murder.  Tuesday afternoon, Reuben Lyrell Mayes and his wife, Amanda Rochelle Warren were taken into custody and transported to Harrison County Jail.  Later Tuesday night, R’ Mand Lashard “Smoove” Mayes was taken into custody and transported to Harrison County Jail.

All three suspects have been transported back to Simpson County and await their initial appearance in Simpson County Justice Court.  This investigation is still ongoing as other leads are developing.  Details from this office may be delayed in order to help ensure the integrity of the investigation and not to interfere or compromise any other investigative operations of this or other agencies.
