SCTC Students Make Wins at FBLA Leadership Conference to Advance to State 

Students involved in the Future Business Leadership of America (FBLA) at Simpson County Technical Center (SCTC) recently attended the FBLA Southern District Leadership Conference at Jones County Community College in Ellisville.

At the conference, students competed in various events against their peers from across the southern region. SCTC students placing first through sixth in competitive events included:

·         Carson Walker, 1st Place Organizational Leadership

·         Xylan Cox, 3rd Place Public Speaking

·         Katie Clark, 4th Place Introduction to Business Communication

·         Zy’Keria Singleton, 4th Place Introduction to FBLA

·         Jada Hampton and Tiara Tyrone, 5th Place Entrepreneurship

·         Shia Ayers, 6th Place Agribusiness

·         MaKenzie Evans, 6th Place Advertising

These students will advance to the FBLA Middle Level State Leadership Conference in Hattiesburg in March.

FBLA is a student business organization of young people preparing for success as leaders in business, government and communities. Their mission is to bring business and education together through innovative leadership and career development programs.
